This was amazing. As a educator it was heartening to see that careers like this can be attained even with people from small rural communities.
We invited Hollywood-based, Academy Award-winning animator and director John Kahrs to join us last month here in Kaslo. John graciously accepted, and led a session at the Rural Summit that explored the proposition that it might be possible to use animation as both an economic driver and an educational tool in small communities like Kaslo.
