Welcome to Kaslo — & the SS Moyie

It wasn’t that long ago that the only ways to reach Kaslo from the outside world were either by horseback, or via the SS Moyie — in fact there are Kaslovians still very much alive and kicking who moved here as children on what is today the world’s largest remaining sternwheeler, and a National Historic Site. Visitors can wander though a wonderfully restored and recreated interior, one that takes you back to the halcyon days of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Moyie, located right in downtown Kaslo, is yet another reason to come here for the 2014 Rural Communities Summit, and stay because our village is so beautiful — and interesting!
